I am excited to introduce you to "In the Weeds," a newsletter and publication dedicated to independent restaurants and the diners who love them. “In the Weeds” will be written by me, Gloria Dawson, a long-time food and restaurant writer.
I’ve been writing about the industry for about 15 years and have observed a significant gap in coverage and in community spaces tailored to independent restaurants. I envisioned "In the Weeds" as a gathering place where the restaurant community can share both their triumphs and challenges.
In every edition, I’ll celebrate the unique stories, successes, and the lessons learned from the restaurant trenches. My goal is to foster a supportive environment where restaurant industry professionals can share and commiserate about the joys and trials of restaurant life.
